Arthritis- The word "arthritis"
means "joint inflammation". There are over more than 100
different types of arthritis. The most common are
Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gout. The most
common symptoms are swelling, pain and stiffness.

Balance & Dizziness Disorders
- Dizziness is a feeling of unsteadiness or a spinning
sensation. Balance is your physical stability or
steadiness. Most people are surprised to learn that the
source of their imbalance may be in their inner ears.
Balance problems can lead to falling, which may cause a serious
injury.

Muscle Strains or Sprains-
Strains which affect the muscles and Sprains which affect the
joints usually occur after a fall or a sudden movement occurs
that pulls or twists a part of the body violently.

Post Surgeries - Therapy may be
prescribed by your physician after surgeries such as: rotator
cuff repair, arthroscopic knee, hip replacement, knee
replacement as well as many other types of surgies.

Work Related Injuries - Work
related injuries may consist of back or neck pain, bone
fractures and carpal tunnel syndrome. If you are injured
at work, report it to your supervisor so that you may get the
proper care necessary for your injury.

TMJ Disorders- Temporomandibular
disorders (TMJ) occurs as a result of problems with the jaw, jaw
joint and surrounding facial muscles that control chewing and
jaw movement. Symptoms may include pain and tenderness in
the face, jaw, neck and shoulders, limited ability to open the
mouth very wide, clicking or popping sound in the jaw joint,
swelling on the side of the face, difficulty chewing or a sudden
uncomfortable bite.

Joint Pain - Joint pain is a
common musculoskeletal condition. These conditions can be
internal (intra-articular) and external (peri-articular) to the
joint. Possible structural conditions include meniscus and
cartilage lesions as well as joint capsule stiffness.
Treatments available are joint manipulation, mobilization and
therapeutic exercise.

Neck or Back Pain - Patients with
spinal pain are carefully evaluated using the McKenzie Method
and once properly identified with correct spinal syndrome they
are treated with specific exercises, instructed in specific
postures and education of their condition.

Sports/Exercise Related Injuries

These types of injuries usually are of two types: Over use and
sudden traumatic over stretch and tear. Patient education and
graded exercise can relieve these conditions.

Joint Replacement - These
procedures are performed by orthopedic surgeons and require
intensive post-operative management by Physical and Occupational
Therapist. These care pathways include therapeutic excise,
Manual therapy, and occasional physical modalities.

Functional Capacity
Evaluations - Used to determine your ability to return
to work safely or to determine qualifications for disability
benefits.

Pre-work Screen
- A Pre-work Screen is a evaluation performed by a physical
therapist in order to determine an individual's ability to
safely perform the physical requirements of a specific job.
